I put the pictures I promised on my laptop. But I don't have my nifty Irfanview on the laptop and so can not reduce them to a useful size. Still gotta wait until I get home. Few more knives there now I will include.

Here's a right fine German Boker I picked up a while back.

I don't have many whittlers. I'm glad I have this one.

Here are a couple I managed to pick up over the weekend. First though, I want to apologize for the poor pics. Man, I have to get a better camera. I was really surprised when I found this L.F. & C., I've never seen one of their pocket knives before. The spear blade snaps open and shut very solidly. The smaller pen blade is very solid also. Not sure what the handles are made from. They don't feel like bone, horn possibly. The knife below the L.F. & C. is an older, open stock Schrade Walden 832. It is missing it's shield. Other than that, it to is a very solid knife with good snap. I'm not a big fan of wood handles, but these here are very nice. I picked up a couple more besides, one a sword brand timber scribe, and another advertising (bourbon ) knife made by Camillus. Again, I'm sorry I can't get better pics. I'll quit buying knives and save up for a good camera. ::tu:: Bull ( Dale )

Nice knives Dale.

You don't have to spend too much money on a camera to improve your pictures.
Check out Walmart. Look over and handle their cameras and maybe go to Walmart on line(it can be cheaper that way).
An inexpensive something with a macro and a 3x zoom will get you out of the woods. Good luck.

268Bull,

L.F.& C. made many knives with "hard rubber" handles. I own 14 L.F.& C.'s and of those probably 8 have those handles. I seem to remember reading somewhere that L.F.& C. purchased Meriden Cutlery Company and that Meriden pioneered the use of this particular handle material. I put the words "hard rubber" in quotation marks because I have seen disputed the fact that they are actually rubber, however, in my experience they certainly seem to have a little "give" to them when they are squeezed (i.e. they feel "rubbery").

Wow, this must be my lucky day, this is the 77,777th post in the general forum.

Gino, thank you for the kudo's! FRJ, I'll check out those cameras the next trip to Wallie's, thank you for the reference. MSteel6, could very well be hard rubber. Don't seem to sense any slight give to them. But I've barely carried or used it yet. The estate that I purchased it from, I guess the fellow worked a rock quarry, so I've been busy kleaning the crap out of the inside of it ( pant pocket crud ) this morning. The knife is solid though, no blade play, blades line up nicely with the springs. I'm very happy with it! So long fellows ::groove:: Bull ( Dale ) ps: find a bookie and play those 7's !!

After a 10 week absence from the flea markets, today I was back.

Early Boker (1907)
Wards Jack knife (1935-1950)
Case blue bone
Pal Cutlery Co. Bone Stockman (1945-1953)
Camillus 3 blade Boy Scout knife (late 1970's)
George Schrade Wire Jack (1926)

Not bad for a first day back
