I'll give this post a kick, in the 60's here in the panhandle of Ne. yesterday but windy! we will have all of our kids and grandkids here for Thanksgiving and it's supposed to be nice, thank God. Our oldest son is in the snow removal business in south Denver and if it storms he wouldn't make it. This is a big deal for my wife, because she plans on giant meal and it's good! Larry, not much better here in Marietta, Ga. That's enough of this ,bring on springtime.

Currently 27 degrees in my corner of KY. Tomorrow it may get up to 36. No snow yet, generally a good thing tho I wouldn't mind a light dusting at Christmas.

Well here is the view out my front door this morning and I just found a notice that I have a knife at the post office. I guess I'll be donning my toboggan and snow boots shortly.

You guys have more snow that we do up here in Northern Minnesota. Our snow cover was all gone due to rain and temps. in the 40's. Yesterday we finally got about a half inch which isn't enough to keep out sewer systems from freezing. It's been getting down around zero at nights and the frost has gone down a few feet already.___Dave

For those who don't read First Cup Diner, this is what I got up to this morning. My phone says 26º at 0855.

Atlanta has bragging rights over Chicago for snowfall this Winter, Jerry.

They can have it for the rest of the season as far as I'm concerned. I don't envy that.

This is my weather from yesterday (8 December) in South Central Texas which is highly unusual. About 4 inches of snow stuck to vegetation. Paved surfaces stayed clear.

A week ago, it was 70+ degrees here.

Yesterday, it was 32 and snowing.

Before it stopped around 1800, we had five inches on the cars. Some areas east of here and in higher elevations had ten inches.

The most snow I've ever seen here was 21 inches back in the 90's.

These pics were made mid-afternoon yesterday.

The last two, of my neighbor's gate, were made this afternoon.

3-6" What a joke...heck we had 4" in October, this is mid December and we get a Winter Weather Advisory over 3-6"

In 2003 we had one Storm, started on a Friday and ended on Monday...Record 53 inches....NOW that's a Winter Weather Advisory

Got a couple of inches here today, possibly more tomorrow. Not bad for the middle of December. Supposed to be in the 40's this weekend so our current accumulation will certainly disappear.

8:19 am, and now up to 4 degrees above zero. sunny and birds starting to come for the peanut butter and water. have a heated water dish on the deck rail.

Woke up to 3in on the ground.. Cleaned my walks/drive and my neighbors walks/drive.. Now it is snowing again and we got another inch or so and it aint letting up.. My phone is ringing as I clean 2 other senior citizens walks/drive looking for me to get there.. Told them when it quits snowing.. They aint going any where but they don't want to wait!!! John

Over the last few days we've ended up with 5-7 inches on the ground. I was hoping for another snowless winter but no such luck!

Here in Eastern South Dakota the last few days have been warm enough to melt the one inch of snow we have had so far this winter. But a change is on the way, or so "THEY" say and we could get freezing something.

We got a couple of in this am.. I don't know who wants a white Christmas but it aint me!! John
