Took a long afternoon walk on the outskirts of our village with my wife & the dogs.
Took a lot of pictures.
(2 cows laying down resting in the sixth picture. One black & one brown. Hard to see.)

Tom, I missed all of these pics, until now. Thanks for the views of the German countryside, so nice that you can walk from your house into that beauty. I am envious, great looking dogs too.

I don't usually explore this thread, but for some reason I wound-up here today. I just want to say folks, that your pictures of nature are truly beautiful and inspiring. Then, I came across posts directed toward John (jmh58) who has been absent from the forum and dearly missed. It's great to see you posting again John, and I hope your time-out was what you needed to put things in order. You have a lot of folks here who really enjoy your posts and I'm sure will be delighted to hear that you have returned, for however long it may be, although we're hoping permanently. It's great hearing from you bud!

Thanks for your comment Ike.

Those are Jake & Amy. Amy is the little black one. She loves me to death.

And that has nothing to do with table scraps either.
It is pretty here but..., IMO, there's no place like home Ike. (USA)

And, I miss Americans.
Unfortunately, my wife feels the same way about Germany.

My two oldest grandsons helped me build this shooting house back in the spring of 2016.

- Grandsons learning a little bit of carpentry.

- Nailing down the 2X6 floor.

- Almost done, boys had to leave before we built the door, installed the windows and the roof.
The last time I saw this little shooting house was a day or so after Hurricane Michael, 2018. I worked my way through the downed timber to retrieve a game camera, saw that the house was not damaged but inaccessible. I actually walked due west, across Bee Branch, out to the main dirt road to get back home. The jumble in the woods reminded me of the little game of "pick up sticks", it still does. I decided to retrieve the house, as it is built on skids, and move it to another location on our farm. After finding the house and clearing a right of way to move it through the downed trees, I'm considering leaving it in its' original place. Several problems leaving it where it is but there is a good chance we can hunt from it.
Here are some pictures of our little adventure that my Thursday helper and I have been on for a couple of weeks:

- We cut....

- and we cut some more....

- and pushed all the wood to the side......

- in order to get here!

- This is the view from inside the shooting house.
All that in hopes that we might run across one of these fellers:
