We had a 40-50 gallon drum of Leggs sausage seasoning blended to the specifications of the shop I worked at when young. I still get the seasoning from a family member, although the shop has been closed for years, he still makes sausage personally on occasion.

Always enjoy your game pictures, Phil. Keep 'em coming.

Wish I could get pics of all the deer I've seen this past week or two. Last Sunday night I came home early from work.
About 8:30pm or so, a heavy drizzle was falling. As I turned into the driveway at home, headlights swept
across 3 does lying down in the middle of the yard !
Thursday morning as I neared home I saw a total of 15 deer; set of 5, set of 3, another set of 5,
and two singles. Somewhere in the neighborhood is a brand new set of twin fawns !!

The wife and I just did a 17 mile ride on the Indian Head Rail Trail, then hiked about another 4 miles since our step trackers didn't log our ride. Gorgeous Indian Summer day/weekend here, 80° right now.

This is the ride we were supposed to do last Sunday, but I had 2 flat tires and only 1 spare tube.

Afternoon Everyone . Haven’t been over here posting much lately . Good to See John posting a while back .
Treefarmer, your game pics are always enjoyable ,best of luck in your upcoming Season. ::tu:: ::nod::
Red ,looks like a great time and place . ::tu:: ::nod::
Been rambling on at the Diner about whitetail hunting and finally have a few pics to show . It was a warm bow season and the hunting had been slow until after yesterday’s Rain . We got out for a few hours before dark and the nicer Bucks started moving . This morning at 3 am headed out to sit . This guy came out and stopped about 35 yds away . And just couldn’t resist. Was after a bigger one with much wider spread but won’t complain . He’s a little bigger than last years so some improvement for this old guy ! And nice Tall tines . Figure to be a 3 year old and ought to make up some darn good packs of Venison for the winter .
Take care out there and Happy Trails .

Way to go Ripster! That’s a fine looking buck right there. Our gun season opens this coming Saturday (I don’t bow hunt) so I’m excited to see what comes my way.

I’ve never really hunted for horns, although I’ve shot a couple of decent bucks. A nice big doe sure is good table fare, and year before last I took a little yearling doe out of desperation and man o man was she tasty, just not much of her.

As my middle boy and I were driving out to the blind area to check things out the other afternoon, we saw this looking at us over the line fence. We just backed out and let her have it. Hopefully she’ll bring ol big boy with her this weekend.

JP, that’s a humdinger of a Buck! Congratulations!
I guess the European mount was last year’s buck, he was a fine one too.
Compared to most of our Florida bucks, those are giants!
Makes me jealous. ::drool::

We live within shouting distance from downtown upon a hill. I took this picture coming home from getting breakfast ingredients early one morning. Just around the corner from Huntington's tennis courts and dog park. We're eat up with deer on this hill.

These two were chowing down on shrubs that had been cut.

I think the same year, again coming back home early from another breakfast ingredient run in this second photograph.

Interesting pictures, wlf! 2 big boys in their summer coats and velvet antlers. Hope the little feller in the other picture was salvaged.

It was October 16th , maybe he was buck crazy chasing a female or he was being chased by dogs. No reason he shouldn't have cleared that fence by 2 feet. I've seen them go over our 5' fence like water flowing.
Sometimes we just make moves , that are disastrous .

Thanks for that explanation, Lyle. ::handshake:: I thought some thoughtless cruel human being had hung that deer up on the spiked gate posts as some sort of sick joke, and totally overlooked the fact that deer can jump quite high and was likely trying to escape said human beings but didn't quite make it. Makes me feel MUCH better about the human race! I'm rather quick to blame us humans for all the bad stuff that's currently going on here on planet psycho, but it was that same human behavior I've witnessed a thousand times that makes me this way. Thx again, Mark! 8)
