Those berries look so good.
Peach Cobbler - You're killin' me!
You better be on the fast train North! My wife made 2 pies last evening, 1 was the Peach/Blackberry and it is more than half gone. The plain Blackberry may still be here by the time you arrive.
Good looking berries, my wife's favorites.Waukonda wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 6:46 pm Thanks, Garry, and John. It is not only Blackberry time here, but the peaches are also ripe. My favorite pie, hands down, is a Peach and Blackberry cobbler. Some of these berries will go into a cobbler, and the rest will be eaten with yogurt. The next couple of rounds that I pick will be frozen.
Thank you sir!wlf wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 2:31 pmGood looking berries, my wife's favorites.Waukonda wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 6:46 pm Thanks, Garry, and John. Let's see the set up. The birds eat the few I've tried raising . I'm with you on the cobblers, the very ones Mommy made.
Great story and pictures Woodwlker.
Thanks Eustace for the pictures. That's a large place!

Peach cooler and Blue Bell!!! Wahoo!!!Unk wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 1:26 pm Did somebody say peach cobbler? They broke the world record last week here at the Parker County Peach Festival with a 5,790 lb peach cobbler. I guess I should have grabbed my bowl and spoon and drove over there.

Hi Friends,
I thought so too Tom.
That’s cool Phil. Neat pic!!
Years ago when we were in the cow business, we thought about bailing some roadside Bahai grass. We were informed by several older heads that it would not be a good idea for several reasons. They said the residue from vehicle exhaust would contaminate our "free" hay crop. Also we would possibly contribute to hardware disease by unintentionally baling bits of metal, cans, plastics and glass commonly found on public right of ways. Back then, in the late '70s, we scrambled around and bailed about anything that could be made palatable use of hot mineral lick.
Philco they was doing that when I traveled out that way back in 2012. Like you say it makes sense.
