Double dose of GEC...

I think, without any hesitation, I can be considered a GEC-head now. I always liked the look of their knives, but until the #25 came out, nothing really reached out and grabbed my imagination. I LOVE these little things! ::ds:: ! For me, they are the PERFECT balance of size, pocketability, and cutting power. From around the house to the office, I just can't not have one it seems. Anyways, noone comes here to see me ramble about my twisted love afair.

First up, one that might be going to a friend, if he wants it (we shall see). After learning alot with my first Ivory attempt, and gaining some much needed confidence, I whipped up this baby. Mammoth Ivory, tight little serpentine center liner, and it's one of the new-style #25's, with the pen and thinner backspring for it.

Next up, is an Idea I've had for a while. I think it was Kaleb that said that he liked the barlows, but wasn't a fan of the extended bolster. Given the pocket scratches a bolster picks up, after a good bit of use I concur. What I did was take the Northfield Jack model, strip the rear bolsters, and use all the extra space for STAG ::tu::  I liked it enough to keep it natural, but I may go back and add some torch to it at a later date. same filework as the top one. I kinda feel like I have to do something, you know, but I don't want to overpower the handle material. with stuff like stag and ivory I feel that should be the focus of the knife ::shrug:: maybe I'm just strange.

Those are both great Adam.
I am especially impressed with the look of the stag knife. It is super looking.
Both show a great deal of skill. ::tu::

I like them both but that stag one looks SWEET. The frame looks a lot better in a brehead jack configuration like that,

Thanks for the comments guys :) Always fun to show things off here. I'm having a new appreciation for stag now that I've worked with it. It won't ever replace wood as my favorite material, cause there's just to much crazy wood out there, but it's uniquely challenging to work with and have look "right". Hope everyone has a nice thanksgiving!
