All About Pocket Knives

Has anyone read the out of print book "How To Make Multi Blade Folding Knives" by Shadley and Davis and if so has it helped with your knife making? I have seen a few copies on Amazon for sale but they range between $250. and $300.(originally sold for $20.) Is the information in the book worth that kind of $$?

I have the book and although it is a great read, honestly if you ask question on the different knifemaking forums and search long enough on the internet you can probably find everything you need there.

It is awful handy to just pick up the book when you want to see how something is done correctly though.

But, at the price it's going for now I'd say no it's not worth the cost. Give it another year or two and I'm sure there will either be a new printing of the book or someone else will make a book on making slippies.

I really did'nt want to spend that much and at this point have figured alot of it out for myself (i.e. made all of the mistakes).
