Buck 'small' u.s.a.
I've been following the posts but can't recall any mention of the 'small' u.s.a. tang mark. For example, I have a 110 with finger grooves tang marked BUCK/110^(inverted 'V')/u.s.a.(half the size of the standard U.S.A. Am I correct to assume that this model (came with a brown 110 sheath with brass button) is older than 1990? Thanks.

Re: Updated 110 Data Sheet
1988 is correct. ^ is the date code tang marking for 1988. You can find the chart for tang markings at http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... 53&t=11920 It's in the thread after this one called buck date code and has the years for the different symbols. I think most of the Updated 110 Data Sheet is pre 1986. Actually most of them are pre 1981 and are 440C steel. In 1981 they changed from 440C to 425M as the blade steel. 1994 I think it was they changed blade steel to 420 HC stainless. The 440C knives do get a better price.

Thanks Dale,
I am not a Buck collector, per se, but I have several in my accumulation.
Will be digging them out to check the dates.

Re: Updated 110 Data Sheet
Just wondering, in the paragraph of the heading "Buck Knife Collectors Forum" the Buck 110 is referred to as "infamous". What is that all about?
