Large & small Cattaraugus toothpicks - Rhodochrosite scales

I finished two pretty wild folders today for one of our members here on AAPK. I thought I would share a couple of pictures. They actually look a lot better in hand as the stone is translucent so you can see down into the layers below the surface.
The stone is Rhodochrosite which is a rather rare gemstone especially in pieces large enough for a knife.

I think that is the pinkest pink I have ever seen! Just awesome!

gmusic - I do not do anything with the photo's to change the colors so this stuff really is as pink as in the pictures. It is the best pink Rhodochrosite I have ever found.
