Colonial Knives Providence

Looking for any info on these knives the blade says Colonial Providence.

colonial has been in business since 1926. sorry, i don't know when those were made. i believe the little axe is meant for use in cleaning game.

This outfit is still in business Its owners were close friends of the people who started Imperial. Here is the write up from Goins second edition. There is not much to tell this style of hachet folder was made by many companies during the late thirtys fortys and fiftys. The picture one is older than the solid color version. value in perceived condition retail would be 100 give or take, given the present market probably more give than take. If you need something more specific please advise. Hope this helps a bit ( 1926 to present ). LT

Thanks, is there a name for this style of knife?
I did find an email address for Colonial so I emailed a picture to them be curious if they respond. Not looking to sell these belonged to my dad he was sort of a collector.

Got this from Colonial last night so its looking good for more info as soon as he speaks to his Dad.
"my oldest Colonial catalog dates back to 1968 my dad will probably know the model number of the knife in question.
I'll check and get to you.

It's a small world, you probably knew a lot of people that I did. VAW-13 61-64 initial Det One at Cubi. Hung 20's for Viet Nam. Contact me by PM if you wish. By the way I took a quick check and the answer to your first question was a W. Replaced with a Q I flew in as an ECM op. It is in proper livery.
