maybe I'm just wierd, but the nessmuk type knives are ugly little beasts. I absolutely love them I just got some new 1/8" O1 stock, I may try my hand at one this summer As always Kaleb, an inspiration

LOTS to like about this group. Love the sharp tip, love the Mosaic pins but I too am drawn to the Fatness that is the Mini Nessie - too many curves to resist.

Yep, I have a bunch of puukkos to make, some in 1095. I have some O7+ and looking at the data sheets - it looks promising. I plan to use liquid nitrogen so add 1 to the final RC.
L6 I like L6 for sure!
Carbon 0.65 - 0.75
Chromium 0.6 - 1.2
Manganese 0.25 - 0.8
Molybdenum 0.5 max
Nickel 1.25 - 2
Phosphorus 0.03 max
Silicon 0.5 max
Sulfur 0.03 max

O7 is the most hardenable of the O series of tool steels.
