Hey all this is a bowie i made for a civil war reenactment guy he wanted a wide bowie with but wanted it not to have the bowie curve more like a bagwell or ark. tooth pick look , this blade is 1 3/4" wide ,8 3/4 blade, and 14" overall the guard is nickel silver same for the pins in the coffen handle the handle wood is Stabilized Box Elder Burl the steel is 480 layers of 1095,203,15n20,file,cat.d-10 cutting edge.still need to sand a little more on the handle some of the edges are a bit to sharp but will have done this monday and off to a civil war battle this comming weekend so i might not get any time to get more pic's of it ,he has someone to make him a sheath "black" to mach his gear
