Veteran knifers,

To all knifers out there that are United States Armed Forces veterans like myself, I wish all of my band of Brothers a peaceful, restful & safe Memorial weekend & may the hand of God touch each & every one of you! ....When I allow myself to think about the horrifying place & time of War with my fellow Brothers that served with me in those times I grow very silent & still, I grace those moments of memories with sorrow & regret for those that are no longer with us that died for Men like me & the true cost of freedom for our Country! You will find that cost of freedom buried in the ground where Mother earth has swallowed the Brave Men that laid their bodies down for us all, remember & keep them close to our Hearts, always!!!

I wish I was better with words...

All I can say is Thank You to all of the brave men who have faught for us in the past and to those who are fighting for us now.

Those who have died in the line of duty or any time thereafter will never be forgotten. Not here, No way...

Let us not forget the survivors whose lives are a daily struggle. Some go on to lead "normal" lives, some with shattered bones, missing limbs and broken spirits. Some will be successful, some will be the homeless. On a holiday weekend such as this, I wonder if the homeless guy I laughed at was an unsuccessful citizen yet a decorated soldier. Made me think!

When the day finally comes, I believe there will be a special place where Vets will visit with those who made that supreme sacrifice and personally say Thank You. It is our job to teach our kids and great and beyond kids to stand up for our Flag.
God Bless Patriotism,
W.B.

Howdy stagman,

Thanks for your reply as well as the others, they all were truly appreciated! ....In my humble opinion, I feel that all armed forces veterns as well as those that are serving today are deserving from each & every one of us that live in our great Country a standing round of prayer & thanks every day, for if it were not for these many brave Sons & daughters severing now & in the past we would never know the many feedoms we all enjoy today!
