tried some stuff called inlace and a new style of filework

Nice job on that file work! Also, I've used something called inlace before in woodturning. Not sure if it's the same stuff, but if it is, how did you form it? The stuff I used had to be mixed to a paste and used to fill holes or grooves. But a knife handle is pretty open.

I bought it in block form from K and G supply; 1&1/2 x 1& 1/2 X 5 in block. Then ripped it with my bandsaw. Don't see it listed anymore on their site so I may have bought their last piece in inventory. fole work was a new style for me to try and I kinda like it. I will be sending the knife on to Jim Downing for his engreving magic. Thx for your interest and comments.

I like what you have done for that knife, both the new handles and the file work. Makes a fine looking customized knife IMO. Nice work!

Since I don't work for wages and don't sell regularly I can/have to spend a lot more time than those guys who are more skilled but I would say I spent about 2 hrs. I have found that my confidence level allows me to just go and not worry/fret so much which cuts down on the time invested. Also, I try to do something different most of the time which makes it a little harder/longer to finish. If I only did "vine" style I could do it in about 1 hr. now where when I started I took 3-4 hrs. See the tutorial if you are thinknig of trying it, might/ hope it will, help.

Wish I had taken a pic after Jim Downing did his magic engraving. Sold it shortly after and can't go back. I also replaced the rivets with mosaic pins and that made a huge difference appearance wise. Probably one of my best!
