All About Pocket Knives

I purchased a group of knives from an old gent and was wondering if anyone knew if this one has any value I'm looking to sell it ..it has a brass handle and the blade is stamped Deutshland Erwacht it is in excellent condition

Knife is a fantasy. Made long after WWII. Pretty commonly seen for sale on Ebay and elsewhere.

Someone will be along soon who knows more about these than I do.
But several months ago while out garage “saleing” for knives, I ran across a fellow selling a few military knives who was a WWII Nazi collector. We got to talking and he gave me a tour of his collection. I was most interested in the knives. He showed me a knife similar to yours, complete with swastikas. What he told me was that the knife was a complete fabrication made to cash in on the WWII collecting interest. As I recall he said it was not even close to any authentic knives. He kept it in his collection because it was a great example of a WWII fraud and “it looked cool.”

I cannot vouch for his knowledge of WWII items, though on a couple authentic Nazi knives I know about he was spot on with what I had been told by other collectors and with some research I did.

Hopefully one of our members who know WWII knives will be along soon and set the record straight.

Remember, just because a knife is a forgery does not mean it has no value. In some rare cases a forgery can be quite valuable.

Yeah! SMKW sold them for around 6 or 7 dollars. Made in China

And then other times they are aren't worth much.

I hope you did better with the other knives in the group you bought.
