I know I have seen some fantastic examples of Schrade automatics on AAPK but now I think it's time we get them posted here in our own forum.

I see we already have a Pressbutton and a Geo. Schrade Knife Co., so how about we open this to any stamp 'ol George had a hand in ?

The first I ever owned was this Geo. Schrade Presto.

Here are a couple of more Pull Balls.

The top is gold filled with a full polish on the blade and stamped for the JCN Co.

The lower one is a standard plastic and with the G.Schrade "A" stamp. per Erickson.

It's too darned quiet around here.

So....I'll put another photo up. These have been posted before in another thread, so if you're bored with looking at knives skip to the next forum.

Just ignore that Colonial ShurSnap on the top. These were photographed together because I found them all at our club show in Wind Gap, Pa. last March. I can't wait for March 20th this year !

The bottom two knives are both Schrade Cutlery Co.'s and close to mint. The butter & molasses is a more uncommon single clip blade, and the middle one is a nickel silver double with the name E.K.Sawtelle engraved on the handle.

A few minutes on the U.S. census pages of Ancestry dot com, and I found only one match for that name. In 1930, Eugene K. Sawtelle is listed as a 55 year old auto mechanic and veteran in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine. I wonder if his wife Rosatta give him this knife as a gift ?

How very neat! Pull Balls are completely new to me. Even the double blades on a switch is something I can't recall seeing.

I'm learning WAY to much about a whole new world.

Here is a 4 7/8 inch Cutco. No etch. Most had one when new.

Here is another Cutco, and a Walden parachute knife.

I didn't know those GEC Schrades were autos. I like it

How does that release work? Push up, pull down?
