Our 1st knife pass around... A scrimshaw by Colin Paterson…

Hello again friends
Some of us members talked about doing some knife pass arounds a while back. I figured we may as well get that started...
For our first pass around, I will be taking a knife from my personal collection. It's a 2000 Case Russlock that has been scrimshawed by Colin Paterson. If you might be interested, see a picture and entry details below... Let me know if you think there is a better way to do this because I'm a beginner at it.
When the knife makes it around to everyone, we will be giving it away. The winner will be determined by a combined September/October giveaway... Click here to enter the giveaway

How it will work…
First you must agree to the following rules to participate:
You must be over 18 years of age, and the knife must be legal to possess and carry in your state.
The knife must be shipped in the same condition as received and insured for the amount designated by AAPK. If the knife is lost or damaged in transit, it is the shipper’s responsibility to replace the knife or pay the insured amount to AAPK.
AAPK is not reponsible for damage to property or personal injury resulting from the use of the knife.
If all is well and good so far, feel free to proceed…
-----------------------------------------
If you would like to participate, please email your real name and address along with your AAPK username and phone number to [email protected]
For this first go around, I’d like to limit participation to 15 members to see how it goes. Once we get 15, I’ll put the participants in order by geography. Closest person to Illinois gets it first and so on… If we don’t get 15 participants within a month, we’ll go with however many we have.
I’ll post the participant’s usernames here in order of the shipping schedule and I’ll send each individual the name and address of the person you are responsible for sending the knife to when you are finished with it. This item must be sent via USPS insured for $225. The shipper is responsible for this cost of shipping. Please package it well.
We ask that you try to keep the knife for approximately 3 days. If the time runs over a day or two due to bussy schedules, that will be fine.
You will need to post on this thread when you receive the knife, and when you ship it on to the next member. Also post any comments about the knife that you might have.
When you receive this particular knife, please note that it is a collector’s piece and is not for use. It is for looking at only. Please do not rub on the image and do not use anything abbrasive on any part of the knife. Use a cotton cloth or something softer to wipe off finger prints etc.. Please do not use any cleaning agents.
Bryan
