All About Pocket Knives

Hi,
does anyone have, or know where I could find examples of the various tang stamps that Schrade has used over the years?

*Here is a basic list, more for folding knives. There are some variations to be sure. Fixed blade knives have a layout all of their own.



This list is pretty good though.
Here are a few of my notes:
#6 are the oldest of the SCHRADE WALDEN STAMPS, usually will not have pattern number on back side, and might have stamping on all blades.
#7, #8, and #9 are the most common SCHRADE WALDEN stamps, most will have the pattern number on back side of master blade.
#10 is uncommon, used on 898UH and 886UH, and a few Special Factory Orders.
#11 is the most recent stamping and very common, with either SCHRADE or SCHRADE+ (stainless)
#12 is a three line stamp, older than most two line stamps show the pattern number on front
#12 there are a few earlier SCHRADE NY knives where Schrade still stamped the pattern number on back like a SCHRADE WALDEN stamp.

One of the first things I noticed about Schrade stamping, was the difference from pattern to pattern. They do not all have the same progressions of different stampings from year to year.

* A basic rule of thumb - If you have a knife with STAMP #1 though #5, that knife should be sent to me for verification.

Does anyone have any of the "SS" tang stamps? That looks so cool! I guess they figured it was not a good logo anymore after the war.

Its been about a week and no one is following protocol.
