::welcome::
You have a Schrade knife in the "Old Timer series".
It may be an original US made Schrade or a "New Schrade" from Taylor Brands, made in China. The stamp on the blade will tell you where it is made.

According to the Articles & Research - Schrade - Old Timer's Knives (just above the FAQ and Search links towards the top of the page) it's a:

6OT Golden Bear; 5"; clip - lockback; Schrade+ Steel, no rear bolster 1995-2004 $51.95 (original sales price)

My concern was 6-0T verses 60T. Thanks

Then "orvet" is the guy for you. Dale is one of the Schrade experts on the forum. He's busy getting ready for the big Oregon knife show but if you send a PM or email, he will most likely get back to you with an answer. If not, there are others on here that are "Schrade conversant".

Geene-
I've got one here marked:

SCHRADE +
U.S.A. 6-OT

Sitting right next to it is one with the same marking, except it says "6 OT."

The way they marked the number/Old Timer series seems to vary over time, and possibly the mood of whomever stamped the blade--I can't see any logic in it. The critical part in determining country of manufacture is if it is stamped "U.S.A."

Jim is right.
Some were stamped 6-OT & some were stamped 6OT.
Same knife, just a variation in the tang stamp.
From what I have seen, I would guess that the 6-OT was the earlier stamp, though I have no idea when they changed.

Speaking of Schrades.......

I found some of the USA Schrade SW7s listed on a
website for $7.95 ea. I got a couple and an Opie7
to defer the s&h ($8.95 Priority)
If anyone wants a USA made SW7s (or a Simon,
Avatar, or Outback) here's the link:
