As to the validity of the knife ???? I'll have to leave that up to the more knowledgeable folks. ... If it is real, it is a nice looking knife ... I sure hope it is, I'm getting tired of seeing soooooooooooooooo many fakes on Ebay.

My gut feeling says NO it is not original ..... I'm specifically looking at the handles .... just doesn't look right to me ...

I'm NOT a Case wizard or collector, but I have uneasy feelings about that knife.

I don't believe that I would bid on that knife. Stags wrong and the stamps are too deep.

Rig welder, I was just wondering how you can tell the stamp is too deep. Im not a big time case collector, but id like to know so I know what to look for in the future. By lookin at the scales, my opinion is they look a little too new and I notice they dont seem to fit just right at bottom bolster. Am I correct or does any one disagree. Like i said would just like toknow for future reference. Thanks fellas.

Isn't that a USA dots era Case shield on that knife (it doesn't have the tall 'S' in Case)? Ain't wearing my glasses so I can't see it good, even when it's super sized. I plainly remember a Case Tested knife exactly like this that had the same (set up) story about the seller trading a Remington knife for it, and the seller was looking at another knife at that time that he wanted to buy badly, so he needed the cash fast. IIRC, there was a buy it now option on that older completed Tested knife auction. The older Case Tested knife auction that I'm speaking of was on Ebay back in the early-to-mid fall of 2009. I had the old 2009 Tested knife auction on my watch list because I just wanted to see how much it would sale for. That older fall of 2009 completed Tested knife auction has went well past the time limit that Ebay keeps them up, so it can't be searched for and traced back to the seller(s). I can not say it's the same seller as the seller of this knife at auction because I don't remember the sellers name. IMHO, I personally wouldn't even pay the shipping cost for this Tested whittler knife that's pictured. Remember that old saying, Buyer Beware.

Badboy, not a big case guy but here goes. The center pin may have been replaced. Being a tested era, does that look normal to someone? Also how about the shield? Deos that seem right? Im just learning old case knives so can someone tell what they think? Thanks
