All About Pocket Knives

I purchased a Ken Onion - Ripple a few weeks ago and the tip, 1/4" broke smooth off.

I am obviously disappointed and do not know how to handle. I am assuming the voids the warranty so the question becomes how does a novice repair something like this. Seems like alot of steel to grind to even out.

Something to think about when you suffer from a broken blade tip. Reshape the point from the spine side. Use your belt sander (a radius part, not the flat) and reshape the back side. Don't sand across the spine, but rather, the long way, with the blade. Keep it cool, don't get in a hurry. After sanding to shape, clamp blade in a vise and, using sandpaper (320 or 400 grit) on a file, shine up the area you sanded. try to remove all grind marks.
