Everybody have their garden in??Celebrity tomato plants were hard to find around here this year,only found 6,also planted, Parks whopper.early girl,rutgers and one of them big something or others.Taters are looking good,okra is up,squash not doing to hot yet.May have to
spread a little more manure ,but i'm good at it.

Got a late start this year. Just planted yesterday.....

HAVING A PROBLEM WITH PEPPER SEEDS...FROM LAST YEARS SEASON...CAN'Y FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG..DALLAS WEATHER IS ABOUT THE SAME AS OKLAHOMA..ALLEN..

Already got got lil green tomatoes on a couple of my plants.

Picking green onions and lettuce for salads already too.

Peppers are growing but I bought plants. Seeds are too much trouble to mess with.

Didn't get the corn in until yesterday...

I usually buy my bell pepper plants.About have to any more bell peppers in store have quadrupled in price.Allen don't give up on those seeds!been having to water heck out of entire garden to get it started good.Father in law giving me green onions.

Its a little early for where I am at (pa) but I do have most of my my tomatoes and peppers in. Celebrity are my favorite by far and yes I do have a few in. They are not real easy to come across here either but they can be found. I still have a bit more to do but I am ahead up here.

I got a wild hair last year and made my own out of 5 gallon bucket.

It was a TOTAL waste of time.

Usually about the 1st of June.

I'm looking at at least another week here. Forecasts for later this week are calling for overnight lows in the mid-30s, and since I live in a canyon near the river I suspect we'll get a touch of frost yet.

Romas and other tomatos started 6 weeks ago, peppers (Cayenne and bell peppers) 8 weeks ago. Gourds started then too, but nothing is up yet. Still experimenting with those though.

I did get a new toy today--a nifty grub hoe. I want to do some minor experimenting with indigenous soil prep and planting techniques; around here they were using steel hoes by 1800 but the methods stayed the same. Now I just gotta find a handle . . . .

Got 17, tomatoe plants and 5 cucumber plants, and we have had some good rain,lately!!!!!!!!!! My wife asked me if we are doing a garden this year but its too late already. It was 80 degrees at 5:30 am when I left the house and it is already hitting 95 degrees by noon time. I tell you what though, since I'm in the middle of my peach harvest I will swap some peaches for some tomatos and we'll see what goes mush first in the post office.

I just laid amonia to my corn a couple days ago & got a good rain on it today. It's starting to tassle out now---should be eating corn in three weeks or so.
Been eating squash & cucumbers for a couple weeks allready. Still waiting on that first 'mater sammich though. I'll share a few pics when I get a chance to get em.

Nice tomatoes monk. What kind are they? What do you fertilize with?

Hey RR------I do give a lot away to friends & family you just gotta' enjoy,growin' em' to even fool with a garden anymore---I can get tomato's at the local farmers market when they come in for 50 cents a pound and I spend $5 a pound growin' ,watering,fertilizer,mulch___________but still love to pick my own

Lot's of rain this week,has,her"'JUMPIN'""!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like they are 6 inches taller this week!!!!!! And as you can see,we harvested our first batch of cucumbers!!!!!! Hey,anyone,cut em' up(cucumbers) and put em' in vinegar,with a few vidalia onions???????man-o-man_________,you talkin' bout some more good eatins',with pintos & cracklin cornbread It'll be a few more weeks,before we get the first tomatos

Just planted my garden this weekend

We had a frost early last week


I put in corn, cukes, tomato, swiss chard, and peppers. Won`t be picking anything for a couple months

Not from my big garden but some stuff from my patio.
Some string beans - some peppers - some home made bird houses.

Gotta'er' lookin' good Gino --------do I see some ,impatiens,in that bunch???? I didn't have to good luck,with mine,________lost two outa' four,that I planted--------put two of the phlox,plants,in their place i know they will,grow,and come back every year too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!----I'll try to get some up-date photos
