All About Pocket Knives

Here's asome old carbon steel butcher knives that I've recently refurbished and converted to 4" boning knives. A 4" blade works perfect for what I use these for. Top to Bottom is an old Herters improved bowie, I chopped and reshaped the blade and rounded out the handles which look like cocobolo, Second was a worn out 6" Ed Whustof Boning knife I rehandled it in micarts with some new pins, and chopped and reshaped the blade, the black handled one was a Remington butcher that I did some major chopping and reshaping to, I put black micarta on it, the last one was a Remington sheep skinner that I chopped and reshaped, the handles got some major overhaul too.

All those knives have a new life ahead of them. I really like the looks of the bottom one in the group picture. It has real character.
