Schrade Cut Co Melon Tester

I had not been to the forum or bought a knife for some time, but a mint Schrade Cut Co was enough to change that.

Normally melon testers don't interest me much, but this one is a little different, and being a Cut Co era it must be a fairly early example of the pattern. Nearly all melon testors I've ever seen are 1960's or newer advertising knives, usually with smooth yellow/white handles, but this one has unique textured scales, and not the usual jigging at that, but rather a raised molded texture. Anyone have any info on this, maybe a catalog page, or other Schrades with these handles?

AKC- That's a beauty! I have several of the ones you mentioned with the White imitation Ivory and even one that has a serrated blade. I even have a Mother Of Pearl two blade that is gorgeous, but I do not have one like yours!
Is that a knife you got to flip???

I am going to move this to the Schrade Forum so the Schradphiles will be sure to see it.
It is a nice one.
I don't ever recall seeing one with textured scales before.
Very Nice!

Thanks folks!
Seems like the handles must have been a short lived thing...
