Prayer request

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Prayer request

Post by ddixon »

I am not a religious person so this is a little hard for me. My dad, CK Dixon, Jr., had a cerebral hemorrhage last Tuesday. It is inoperable so he is receiving palliative care. The doc gave him 5 days and today is the fifth day. He's pretty tough but we can all use some prayers sometimes. Please say a prayer for my dad, and also for my mom too. Their 63rd wedding anniversary is next week. Thanks.

I received an email from ddixon telling me his father passed away peacefully yesterday morning (Nov 8th). Dan is not able to access his computer temporarily and sent me that message via I phone.

Please continue to pray for Dan and his family in this time of grief.

Dan,
I'm saying a prayer for you right now. Where grace, wisdom, and courage is needed, they will be a gift from God. I'm praying for your mother, because she will feel an almost overwhelming sorrow and loneliness for a long time. My stepfather passed away 5 years ago, and my mother and I both still miss him immensely. He was 93 years old.
I'm praying God will speak to you personally during this time, and provide you exactly what you need, exactly when you need it.

So sad to hear this but thanks for the update Phil. It is never easy to lose a family member. When my dad passed away in his 60s it hit me pretty hard cause I was still in my 20s. Never easy. God Bless your family during this tough time ddixon :)
