EBay item #200548910540. This one is just pathetic! Someone is going to take a huge hit on this.

Seller lists the knife at 3.75". It's listed in Sargents as 3 5/8".

To me the whole knife just looks too "new"...except for the CASE shield which looks worn. I would have to examine the pics more closely. But a lot of things about it scream either "fake" or "rework". The tang stamps for one thing do not look authentic to me but I would be hard pressed to explain exactly why. Pics are poor anyway with that red background.

If you look closely at the pivot pin on the front handle you will see that handle shows where a previous pin has been spun and the alignment didn't match up with the current pin . I agree that the blades look like stainless steel and we must also consider this sellers track record . Someone went to great lengths to perpetrate this fraud , however , if they are successful and get about one half of the book value I guess that they will feel that their time was well spent !

You can see a gap around this center pin also , but it is much more obvious on the front handle where the spinner cut away some of the stag on the original pinning operation . This pic also makes it easier to see a gap on one edge where the handle butts up against the bolster .
