I'm in the process of re doing an electrician knife and was thinking about the back spring, as I looked at the piece of liquorice in my hand, why not a rope. Its not that great but I like the tulip wood.

Such humility. "Aw shucks. It's not that great." (toe in the dirt)
BULL-ROAR!! If I had one like that, I'd be showing it to everyone I could get to stand still long enough to look.

The Twizzlers file work really trips my trigger. Since I'm a big Wharncliffe / sheepsfoot fan, that blade modification is right up my alley.
Great job!!

Very nice work Gary - don't see many customized electrician knives - Darn good working knife - I was working a gun show couple months back & a guy had a box full he pick up some place - i'm not talking a little box - he must have had 200 of them, maybe more than that! think they were bought at a military surplus sale - tom

There was a TL-29 thread sometime back with some pictures of knives a few people here had customized. The TL-29 makes a fine palette for customization and they're cheap so it's a good knife for beginners to learn on. If you haven't seen it, check out that old thread, starting near the bottom of this page.
