I need a new project.

Many times I like to tackle a knife project outside of my normal "comfort zone." I do have a katana I need to polish, however I must admit that I do not view that as 'fun.' It's going to be a major headache, and during these gloomy winter months I just don't want to start it.
You guys collect knives I have never seen. A lot of these collections have value based upon patina, and cleaning or sharpening them is not a good idea.
However, is there a knife, even an oddball, that might lend itself to the talents of a polisher and be a unique experience? I already have all of the EDCs I'll need for two lifetimes. I need to have some fun. Any suggestions?
