Terrific trip to Lewisburg Knife Show!

We had a wonderful trip to Lewisburg, PA this weekend! I expected to see great knives, but I didn't expect to see such a beautiful old historic town. We stayed on Market St. at the Lewisburg hotel which was est. in 1834. I love old buildings & the architecture of the area was great to see. I am so thankful to Vikingdog for encouraging us to go! Thank you!!!
Although I was very sorry we missed meeting Vikingdog, we did get to meet Galvanic1882 & chetr1200c. I also found out that I already knew BigDen, from a previous auction that we had both attended. It was terrific to talk to all the guys!
Bret & I were lucky enough to buy a few of Galvanic's beauties & to see some of his AWESOME personal collection. I really felt privileged to hold some of the historic beautiful knives that he owns. THANK YOU, Galvanic!
We did find many terrific knives. There was so many people to talk to & so many knives to look at, that we didn't even get to everyone's table the first day.
The first group of knives I want to show you are what my son Tyler (age 12) got. He had been working for me around the house to save some money for the show. He is a Case/Queen collector. When we got to the show, Tyler found a pretty red bone jack knife that was affordable. He also found a Case Tested XX Coke Bottle that he could afford because there is a small chip out of one handle. He was on cloud nine to say the least.
Well, we went around the show & came up on the GEC display. I told the representatives (I didn't even know it was Ken Daniels & his daughter in law) that I think his knives are fantastic. Tyler and I talked briefly with them about Tyler's interests & we moved on. About an hour later, Bret and I were a few tables away & Tyler was back at the GEC table. Ken Daniels called Bret back & said "hey, give your boy a quarter". Bret gave Tyler a quarter & Tyler handed it to Ken. Ken handed him back a beautiful Smooth Cherry mini-trapper!!! It's a 735208 that's is not serialized. Tyler hands were actually shaking from excitement when Ken gave him the knife. Tyler made me unwrap it so that he wouldn't drop it. Ken graciously signed the tube the knife is packed in & we took a picture of Tyler with him. GEC made a great trip into an unforgettable one for Tyler! Thanks, Ken!
That night, Tyler couldn't stop talking about another GEC knife that he had seen. It was a Little Carver with a Wharncliff blade. He was out of money, but he kept going on and on about it. When we got to the show the next day, we went back & I did buy him the knife. He now owes me for a long time, but the boy is just so excited about GEC. He even told me, "maybe someday I will get to work in the plant!"
Bret couldn't resist & before the day was done, he had purchased a Primitive Bone 651111 for himself.

Even though there is a little chip out of the one scale, it has a good blade yet.
The wife seems to be OK,with the idea,of going to the "'Blade Show"" in Atlanta____I'll have to see,if I can get a couple days off,cause I work,week-ins______I'm pretty sure some of the AAPK,gang,will be there as well as the "'GEC Group""_____thanks for sharin' that smile,on the youngster, 
There are a lot of antique co-ops, flea markets etc in the Lewisburg area. It really is a nice area.
When Bret told me that, I told him, "Do not volunteer me for that!"
