poor mans sebenza

as im low on funds and lock blades are ilegal here in the uk i recently sold most of my lock blades, but i decided i wanted one for when on camping trips to throw in the bottom of my backpack, i read and saw a lot of reviews on the san ren mu 710 so for £9 posted i decided to give it a whirl, im not disapointed, well made average but ok 8cr13Mov blade, frame lock, its very good for the money,

I'm not really into tactical folders and such but that looks like a pretty nice knife for the money. Spring Assist??

no spring TJ this is the uk lol, :D just thumb stud OH type, ::tu:: flicks out easy, i added a little nano oil, ive added a little blue hagmans knot lanyard to it and it will go in my backpack for work tonight ::tu::

In pic 6, there appears to be a spring just above the blade.

No spring TJ just way the pic is taken, it fliks out pretty easy,all very solidly made,

cheers guys, and i did leave a post answering you chet but it didnt come up :? but im sure ill be ok chet as only probably carry it while mountain biking and ive carried a leatherman wave since 98 with no problems from the police, im a family guy and no fug so i should be fine ::tu::

I recently purchased a Sanrenmu liner lock also. Seller on the bay from China.
Only took 12 biz days to arrive and is a very solid knife. Cost $5.85 new, and
shipping was a few bucks. Great 'losable' knife for hiking and the like. Good to
hear that you like yours too. (This one has pocket clip on other side)

cheers trev and nice SRM you have there, this one is on the site in the uk also , i think they are very well made for the money and seem like they should cost more, but i agree a nice one to throw in the backpack ::tu::

I agree totally Zed, might have to grab one to throw in each vehicle around here.
The price is crazy low for what you get.

::tu:: i might get the SRM T01a for the car as is £12 and has the half serrated blade and a seat belt cutter :D

i also have to add that this has one of the best clips ive used on these types of knives,

cheers mate for the info ::tu:: well chet ive had that box for around 15 years i had it before i got married the first time around to my now ex and it was the only thing i took with me plus i filled it up with stuff, im now re-married to a great lady and been with her for nearly 9 years, she loves this old box as much as me, these days it holds the childrens toys :D ill take a pic once i get up as just worked a night shift, i work with elderly with dementia so pretty tired now, :(

i dont know much about it gary, i got it over 15 years ago grom a antique shop plus another that my ex still has and a really nice pointy chest of draws that i gave to my sister in law a few years ago, i dont think its very old but its very well made and been used over the years to store many things, not the girls toys who knows what it will hold in the future :wink: ::tu::
