All About Pocket Knives

I am interested in seeing Schrade made Primble knives, especially Primble Old Timers.

If you have them, please show them.

I will start off with three Primble Old Timers.
I got these three from Mark Zalesky, editor of Knife World.
I bought the 935 from him through the mail.
The 934 & 933 I picked up from him this last weekend at the OKCA show.
It was nice to meet him in person, he is a nice guy and a real knife lover!

When were these made?

Not sure when these were made, but I see all three of these models listed in the Belknap Hardware pricelist for 1970.
Belknap went out of business in 1985 according to Goins.
Schrade was making knives for them at least as far back as the 1950s, probably before that.

Here is an old bone handle one.............

I have two mint 935 John Primble knives made by Schrade, I have had for many years, I paid less then $30 each for.
The last John Primble I found was a 934, that I payed over $50 for it.
Please note: In 1971 a new John Primble 935 sold for $4.57

Here are a couple more of mine.
First is the Primble #5739.
It is not the same as the 2OT, but I beleive it is based on an earlier Schrade Cut Co pattern, but perhaps without the coping blade.

You guys are taking me down memory lane with this thread. On my four summer breaks from college in the late 60's and early 70's I worked for a roofing and sheet metal company in the Fall's City area of Louisville. I made many a trip to the Belknap Hardware Store/Warehouse (a huge building) to pick up supplies. While the truck was being loaded I would hang around the knife display cases.
Wish I could go back in time and buy many of those knives that I drooled over then.

This is an 1982 Belnap-Primble, it has filed back-spring and blades.
The box is covered with an old Primble flyer, showing items for sale at the old hardware supplyers.

I was just browsing thru posts on a Sat morning and found this one. I am going to post some Primbles by Schrade and in a shameless plug say I can't decide whether to list these on eBay or in my store.

Does the first one have jigged Delrin handles?
The others all appear to have jigged bone handles.

They are all peachseed bone. I do have a delrin one but didn't post it.
