My newest custom

This is my newest custom from Michael Morris ( http://www.michaelmorrisknives.com/ ). Mike works from new Nicholson files, W2 high carbon, and after shaping the blades re-tempers them to 56-58rc. Most models are supplied with very high quality leather sheaths using heavy thickness hides. For this knife I told Mike I wanted a 6 inch spear point blade with lashing holes on the rear of the tang. The scales are easily removable allowing this to be lashed to a shaft for an emergency hunting spear. I sincerely doubt it will ever be used in that manner but it is nice to know it can be done. The scales are black canvas micarta.

As you can see the knife's file origins are clearly visible but the sharp edges of the cutting surfaces are smoothed down. The grinds are near perfect and the blade is hollow ground.

The sheath is as good as any I have seen from other custommakers.

I have purchased a half dozen knives from Mike and the quality is tremendous on all of them. The friction folder is a favorite pocket knife for EDC.

As Mike says... "Deez ain't no 'sissy' knives"
