i have a vintage sur snap clonial pocket knife that has been taken apart i need to know how to put spring back in[album][/album]

We need a clearer picture. The spring in your picture doesn't look like the spring for a Shur-Snap. To replace the factory spring, you need to remove the pins holding the knife together. The spring fits under a little tit in the side of the liner. Some Shur-Snaps have a cross pin holding the spring. In this case you can replace spring without furthur disassembley. Hope this helps. If the tab is broke off you won't be able to replace it without major modification, if it's a pin in spring it's easily enough installed. I see no pin hole so I'm leaning towards the broken off spring tab that shur snaps are famous for
