salad set

i picked up these yesterday... fifty cents...sterling handles, broken fork...

has an odd stamp...a C or ova,l around a W, divided by an arrow...?

( George K. Webster silver company).

gringo, the handles are beautiful. The close-ups you took really helped me see the detail. It's a shame about the fork being broken, but for fifty cents you got a steal. The handles as scrap are probably worth more than that. Are you going to try cleaning up the non-silver parts?

I have one very similar to yours, except the handles are genuine MOP and the spoon and fork are Ivory :o :shock:

thanks guys...i am undecided on working the wood...the fork has around an inch off one tine...partial breakage on the other three tine...so i'd have to splice the wood...not my best venue...metal i can shape...wood resists me...

i'd like to see a photo of your set miller bro...

i really like the silver work on these pieces...even if they came out of a metal press..the detail is fantastic.
