All About Pocket Knives

This is a cell phone photo of a copy of a classical painting that hangs in the lobby of a local office building.

It is a country scene in some European country depicting the area as it was several hundred years ago.

However, down low in the foreground, just about in the center of the road is an object that caught my attention.

If you look closely, you'll see a modern die-cast model of a 1948 Mercury two-door automobile.

I've done a couple of close-ups to make it easier. Expand the big framed picture with a couple of left clicks.

Now, how did that get into an ancient piece of artwork?

Looks more like a Nissan JUKE to me..

I think the artist is suggesting the passage of a man on a horse.

it even looks like they are traveling on an old paved road with flooding cracks running lenghtwise down the road.
