Parker's Show in Sevierville, Tn

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Parker's Show in Sevierville, Tn

Post by Paladin »

The Parker Show in Sevierville is coming right up. It opens on Dec 8 at noon. That is a Thursday and it is a week from this coming Thursday. The show runs that Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
It is a fine show with more fine vintage knives than you can imagine.
I'll have a table there and I am hoping to shake hands with many other AAPK members. I'll make it a point to be wearing my camo AAPK hat, so come on down.
I am sure there will be other members with tables.
I know JLJR1944 will be there. He knows more about tool knives than anyone I know and I believe he will have his very nice ones on display, as well as other items.
So, if any of you are in the area, stop by and say howdy. ::welcome:: :D :D 8)

I'll be there with 3 tables . Look for the "RIDGEWOOD CUTLERY" sign and stop by . After you have made your best deal , mention this post and I will give you an additional $5 off to pay for your parking .

I was just discussing with my better half today the possibility of taking in that show. I'm not totally sure I can make it but I sure have been thinking about it. I wasn't able to attend last year but was there in 2009 and as Ray said, it's a great show with lots of nice vintage knives to drool over.
If I make it I'll sure look you gentlemen up.

I've had this one on my calendar for a while & I've been giving serious thought to making it. Have never been. How many tables can I expect to see? It's a five hour drive and I'm wondering if it'll be worth the drive. Any and all info is appreciated.

Also, any hotel recommendations? I've not ruled out driving up Thurs and spending the night.

I believe there will be up towards 400 to 500 tables and if you like vintage knives, you will not be disappointed.
As to motels, seems like there is a list on Parker's website. There are some very reasonable rooms this time of year.

Ray
EDIT:
I was able to locate the motel list at Parker's site and here is a link http://www.bulldogknives.org/id8.html
