All About Pocket Knives

I recently built a light box for taking knife pictures that I think every one should be able to afford and build. It is made out of corrigated plastic. (think the cheap little lawn signs thay you see stuck everywhere) I simply cut it into four matching size pieces (24x22 just because it worked out with the material I had) and used packing tape to hold it together. I traced the back and cut it, added a couple of lights I had around and a 12x12 ceramic tile and in less than an hour I had a light box.

This may be an option for some of you collectors since it would be easy to put up and take down and could be stored almost anywhere.

What angle is the ceramic tile ? and will it scratch the blosters ?
What stops the knife from sliding down ?
I had to angle mine more to stop the glare from the opened blades.
Then the knife kept sliding down.

I'm not sure of the angle I'd have to go look. I used a piece of the coroplast about an inch wide by about 10 inches long bent in the middle. I just adjusted it untill the blades reflected the light off the top of the box.

I just use a rolled up strip of masking tape stick it to the handle and to the tile.

The tile will definately scratch the bolsters if you aren't careful. But I like the look of it. I suppose you could use anything you like to cover a flat surface for this part.

hey jeff, i like your material. i built one of styrofoam but i think your material is more durable. if you plan it, it can be folded for storage. very cool box.
