My First post here. I have a 1999 "Friends of the NRA" commemorative knife I am considering selling in the near future. What should I ask on a auction ? My photos are horrible. The knife is brand new and unused with the sheath. No box.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry about the horrible photos. My camera actually takes good photos with daylight.

Dale -

Handles are stag. Knife is beautiful and unused. I never cared for the Schrade sheath however.
It seems like Schrade made a "one size fits all sheath" It was 1999 "Friends of The NRA" Knife of the year.

I am more a WWII vintage collector of firearms and knives. I grew up here a short drive to both Utica Cutlery and Camillus.

What would you ask for this peice say on GunBroker ??

Well typically commemoratives don’t get as high a price as the standard knives with comparable materials, but I would think with sheath you should be able to get $75 with out too much problem; higher on a good day & lower on a bad one.

Good luck with it!

I was Chairman of our local FONRA chapter for five years in the mid-late 1990's and very early 2000's. I remember a Schrade set of three knives during that time, in fact my brother bought the set. He gave me one (shown below) and kept the other two; don't know if he still has them or not, but I will ask. If so I will try to photograph the entire set together. My knife is a medium stockman #897NRA and is engraved on the bolster with the set number which was #503, I think yours was part of a similar set - it may have a number engraved on it somewhere.
