Wanting to find a schrade like my dad bought me

About 23 years ago my father purchased me a large folding schrade knife that had engraving/scroll work on both ends of the knife. the handle was wooden. It came with a sheath that says schrade on it and it is handtooled. I really was proud of that knife. Shortly after receiving the knife it was stolen out of my vehicle. I still have the sheath. Does anyone know what I'm speaking of, and where I might find another for sale? Thank you, Mike

It sure sounds like an LB-7 Uncle Henry lockback. They made some with the scrolled bolsters and the fancy embossed sheaths. I can't remember whether they called it a "custom," or the exact nomenclature, but I know there is a flyer shown on it in the Schrade collector's website
http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/. That is a nice knife. I bought one recently at a place that rhymes with "delay." I see about one a year come up for sale. There were not a lot of them made. The unadorned LB-7 were sold in the millions.

Hi Mike,
Welcome to AAPK.

The brown flip top box had the knife and fancy sheath nested in foam, and this insert.
