Old or remake walden?

I have read some things on here about reuse of the old Schrade Walden tang stamp. So how would I know if this is original or a remake? If it is a reuse, how old is it.

My first clue that it's not original is the lack of bids.

I am trying to grow my collection by buying the less expensive models for now but I obviously want to know exactly what I am considering bidding on.

Man they don't make it easy for a novice!!!

The knife in the auction listing for which you show an URL is a genuine Schrade made before 1973. The new ones would not have such advertising, and they would be made of a modern plastic. This knife is definitely celluloid, which is not now used.

Pretty decent shape too. There could be a few more bids before it closes, and I would guess it might go for somewhere between $20.00 and $25.00. I picked up a couple of these citrus testers, and they are nice knives.

Probably from the 1960's. I notice the one on Ebay is missing the etch.

Here is one I've had for a while, the Marine Pearl, which is imitation, is a pretty handle.
