All About Pocket Knives

This is another practice/hand rehab knife. I ran out of time the other night to list it.
It started out as an Old Timer 770T (muskrat pattern) that appeared to have been left on the dashboard of a truck for too many years. The surface of the mark side handle was starting to crumble, and was very faded. I didn't do file work on this one, just new handles and reassembled it as a single blade. There was a little bit of microscopic surface pitting to the blade, (I think it adds character), which I didn't bother to remove completely but I did get some of the grinder marks out of it. This one makes a very nice slim profile easy to carry knife. Of course, when you remove the Swinden key and pin the knife through the bolsters it usually gets a little bit better snap. I may have overdone the spring tension on this one; as it like to bit my finger off when it closed. If my finger had been over another 2 mm I would have been hunting for the Band-Aid box. This knife really has an edge to it!

I also filed a single groove in the front bolster.
Question: would it look better with a groove at both ends? I am looking for the opinions of knife lovers here.

I could go either way with the ringed bolster. It seems like most knives would have both done, but I like it just fine with one.

Dale, if it were mine, I would keep it as is. Feeling the knife in your pocket or in the dark, you know the blade swings on that end. Plus, it's unique. What a nice knife. Great job.

looks real good Dale, The 77's make a sweet thin EDC as a single don't they? Love the bone on this one. I'd ring both ends, but thats just me

Me too. If they would put less red in that dye and perhaps more umber dye it would be close to the darker Rogers Bone color.
