I hope this is the proper forum for this, if not please redirect me. I recently purchased a knife from agood friend and mentor, Mr. Dan Stidham, of Gallipolis, Ohio. Dan is not nationally known, but has been making knives since 1961. This particular folder caught my attention because of the unusual use of the "reverse wharncliff" blade, and the beautiful mastadon tooth handles. The blade steel was described to me as "alabama damascus", and the knife features elaborate filework. An added bonus to this knife is that it is pictured on page 65 of the 32nd edition of KNIVES 2012. The back cover states that it was chosen from over 2000 submissions. Just wanted to share a very fine knife from a very fine gentleman. Thanks, Tim

That reverse Wharncliffe is really different and the knife is unusual as well. I think it could easily grow on me. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks for looking Jerry, I just wanted others to see the uniqueness that I see in the knife.
