All About Pocket Knives

Just staring at that old Case and remembered having the Buck 319............Hmmmmm
Maybe? The Buck means nothing to me but the Case does. Not trying to fool anybody either, I just wanna know.
So without tearing them both apart...has anybody tried it?
I guess I should make myself more clear. Will the liners from the Buck fit or be modified to work with the Case springs and blades?

You won't know until you try it most likely.
The Buck was probably made by Camillus unless it is a more recent one.

Just my opinion, but I think you'd be just as well off puttin' the Buck in your pocket and starting from scratch on the Case. The labor you'll wrap up into altering the Buck will likely be more intensive then just making new liners from sheet stock. And, I think you'd be happier with the end result.

On second thought, what pattern is that case, a 32? I think I have a set of good liners w/ bolsters in the shop. I have tons of frames

You're both probably right.
That knife was given to me by a lady over on Primitive archer. I had posted some pictures of a knife I rehandled and expressed that I had an interest in learning to work on and repair knives. I DON'T KNOW THIS PERSON. Just that they were kind enough to send me a handfull of broken knives to work on. They were a gift....from someone I don't know. This person spent $5 of their hard earned money to do this for me! Included in the package was a note telling me that the old Case belonged to her grandfather and for me to enjoy "playing" with them and that nothing was expected of me in return. She even apologized for not sending anything "better". I don't know how yall respond to things like that, but I see it as an oppertunity for me to do something special. I'd love to repair it and send it back to her.
As for the pattern...I don't know. All it says on the tang of the master blade is: CASE TESTED XX It's 3-7/8" long with N/S liners
If someone has a frame that'll work I'll gladly pay what it's worth + shipping. Thanks, Shannon
