Is she real, fake or a re~due?
If she is authentic, How much would a fair price be for this knife with the condition that you see in these pictures?
Any info would be appreciated.

Here's a Catt that I think is a 21266 pattern number for reference. Is yours 3 1/2"? If so it could be a 21246. The first 2 is number of blades, the 1 means 1 bolster, the 24 would be the pattern number and 6 denotes ebony. Maybe someone else knows better?

Don't own it.
Thinking about purchasing the knife.
That's why all the questions.
Can't get a hold of the seller for measurements.
He is a friend of mine so I'd like to give him a fair offer.
A going rate for this brand , year and condition of this knife.

Well, if it is a 21246 book mint is $200. You and your buddy would have to decide how far from mint it is. As for year and quantity made I have no clue.

Well the knife is nowhere near mint condition as you can see from the pictures.
I did a little research and looked at what knives of this brand and condition go for on eBay.
My friend is not a knife person and actually found this knife.
He was asking 20 bucks.
From my research I think I'll give him 40 for it.
I think that's a more than fair price.
I don't want it for re-sale.
I like these old spear point jacks.
They make really good every day carriers.

Did not know they made these fake. Did the very early ones have numbers ?

The knife I posted above does not have a pattern number stamped, but the others I have do have pattern numbers that look like they were stamped with a typewriter.

Got the knife today.
It doesn't look to be a fake or taken apart in any way.
Does look as if someone tried a poor attempt at trying to get some scratches out of the handles.
Real good snap but a very slight wobble in both blades.
Main blade is a little worn and the secondary has a very small nick in it
But nothing I can't Doctor up.
I was concerned about the knife being a fake or re~due because of the secondary blade having a long pull.
From a little research on the net I couldn't find another Catt similar.
Anyone got one like it? There is no pattern number on this knife.
Ended up giving my friend 35 for it.
After fixing up the marks left on the handles and sharpening the blades without messing with the patina I'll post pictures.
