Cattaraugus cleaned,sharpened and tightened up

I posted this Cattaraugus knife I purchased from a friend of mine the other day.
I thought it might have been redone at one point but after receiving it that was not the case.

I did a little cleaning then tightened up the blades.
A final sharpening and she was good to go.
This is a very well built knife and also a very sharp one.
Pretty big knife. 4 1/8 " closed, 3" main blade and a 2 1/2" secondary.
I'll be carrying this one for awhile.

Very nice knife. I love ebony scales. I'd love to have one like that. Great work.

That's pretty sweet. Did you induce a patina on the blades, they look darker than the other pics you showed?

Yea, Glenn~
I just wiped the blades and bolsters with some vinegar.
After tapping the pin's to take out the slight wobble in the blades a few marks were left on the bolsters so I hand sanded them out.
It left them real shiny so I figured a forced patina would be appropriate.
I didn't do anything to the blades except sharpen them.
I'm going to use this knife when I go trout fishing at the end of this month.
The season starts a few weeks earlier in my area of Pennsylvania.
So a patina will help protect the knife from rust.
