Not Enough Time

I have been asked a couple times about my lack of time so I thought I'd post it here. Many of you know that I'd had knee surgeries, but there was more than that.
I actually had 6 surgeries in 18 months (tired of Dr.'s-you bet). They were all old injuries.
1. Right shoulder had a 1 inch bone spur, torn rotator cuff, 3 other torn muscles I can't pronounce and some tendon shaving (Dr says what do mean this hurt a little, this should hurt like he**).
2. Right forearm had 1 detached muscle and 1 muscle with a dead tendon, all were reattched. (likely from my old amatuer boxing days-I used to hit like a mule in lt heavy and heavyweight). Yeah, that was supposed to hurt too.
3. Right ankle surgery
4. Left ankle surgery.
5. Left knee surgery.
6 Right knee surgery-it's a mess in there what do you mean it didn't hurt? The only thing I felt was that I had to sit down a lot.
So, with all that SSA disability says you can't work any more.
CAN'T, well that just set me off, that word doesn't exist in my vocabulary, I WILL prove them wrong! AND I've been doing it.
I've been going to the gym under the guidance of physical therapy since October and strength and power have returned, (need to be careful there) stamina is coming back and I'll be back at work likely in March, looking out of state. So, daily I have been diligently working toward my goals of going back to work somewhere. I refuse to lay done and accept their assessment.
Besides, they can't even figure out how a human being can be working with all those injuries.
During this time my wife had 3 surgeries on her hands. Yeah we have been on a first name basis with the surgery center.
In addition my mother in law has been diagnosed with lung cancer and I set my shop up over there so I can be in contact with her and help as needed. I also take the time to talk with her as she is lonely. She will not live much more than a year-if that. Her lungs are to badly damaged from smoking over 50 years.
So, there you have it, in long form
. I do physical therapy, work on knives and now make sheaths from scratch. I also make sure my mother in law has enough kindling and firewood in the house daily and make sure I spend at least an hour talking with her.
It makes for a long but rewarding day.
DON'T TELL ME CAN'T, I'll work my butt off just to prove them wrong!
