You guys gutta love baseball Today is opening day Sooooo who's going to the world series ????????

Last night, I watched St. Louis embarrass the Marlins their first game as a newly named team in their new park. Kyle Lohse took a no-no into the seventh for the Cardinals. I'll be glued to the Cubs home opener this afternoon. (I'm predicting 4th place in their division for the Cubs this season)

Knot that I'm a baseball fan, except for when the Rays start doing well, but why the heck is opening day sooooooo late this year?

I live in Pittsburgh and after 19 straight losing seasons no body watches baseball anymore. Besides the Penguins are still playing and we do have the STEELERS

I coached basebal for 28 years so I am not anti baseball, just anti Pirate baseball, LOL

I feel very optimistic for the Cubs this year......but that will probably change after week two.

Nah, they've gutted the team to start a rebuild. If they do anything at all, it won't be for another two or three years if that soon. You know how it is with Cub fans dogg. There's always next year.

Maybe if those tighwads would spend some money. Tough for a small market team though, especially when the general public doesn't support the team. Maybe they should move out and go to the 'Golden Triangle' in North Carolina.

There's always my beloved Clemson Tigers, and the local minor league teams: Greenville Drive, Charlotte Knights, Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Gwinnett Braves, Montgomery Biscuits, Chattanooga Lookouts, Asheville Tourists, Charleston Riverdogs, Savannah Sand gnats.... Alas, the "Anderson Joes" are no more...

$8 - $12 puts you right behind home plate! At least minor league baseball is still a good value!

I couldn't agree with you more nothing like a minor league game the kids are trying harder and it's not a dooms-day atmosphere with that said I'm enjoying chasing my boys on the college curcuit

Rockford Riverhawks have a new stadium, built 4 or 5 years ago. Great little park and I can sit just off third base for ten bucks.

In the big leagues I follow the Reds who usually fade in the stretch if they get there. I'm a TV fan only for them.

I'm with Blue, minor league is a great baseball experience. I suspect what you get to experience there is more akin to what the majors were like several decades ago before the money got so huge. Go Lexington Legends !!!

gard, I've been a Yankees fan since 1978, when I was in 6th grade. Reggie Jackson was the coolest in my opinion. I was too young to know about his off-field antics at 10 years old, but I could count on him coming through when they needed him to. Then he went to Oakland, which I couldn't understand, but I decided to keep following the Yankees.

In 2005 the Nationals became the team in the DC area so I cheer for them and go to about 10 or so games a year. They are looking really good this year so far and I have tickets for when the Yankees come to town in June. Not sure yet who I will be cheering for. My bud, his wife and I are also going to a Yankees game at their "new" stadium in May. Going to my first game of the season tomorrow/today and hope to snag a Stephen Strasburg bobblehead. 9 of us going, it should be fun!

I managed to snag a Stephen Strasburg bobblehead on Saturday at Nats Park. I think it's a pretty good resemblance.
