Schrade sheath matching

I have a newer LB7 no serial number with a sheath that has the slits in the back for the belt to go through. My earlier LB7 has a stitched on strip of leather that is flat and my dad's earlier LB7 has a stitched on strip formed into a loop at the top. My father in law's 7OT has the sheath with the slits and I have seen only the 7OT with this kind of sheath until I found this later LB7 that came in a "blue box". Is there any person out there who knows for sure which sheaths came with which knives? Did Shcrade just use whatever was on hand? Also, I see many mismatched knives and boxes on e bay. Example is a signed Uncle Henry LB7 blade in a white box when I thought these came in "gray boxes". However, interestingly I have purchase a white box LB7 with a signed Uncle Henry blade. This particular white box has a bar code on the bottom. Never seen this before. Confused.

My blade tangs are stamped USA. I think the non serial knives could have been Schrade's replacement knives for the loss program or for warranty purposes from what I've read in past forums. There is NO way I would ever buy a Chinese made knife.
