well, there is no shine just yet....

i now am the proud owner of a basket full of triumph motor cycle parts... ::ds::

it appears to be a johnnie cash basket...
a twin, unit engine...
lots of rusty and greasy parts that look like two wheels, frame, tank...maybe a fender or two...perhaps a speedo an tack...
::super_happy::

photos will follow as i unearth an clean some of this junk...
dang black widows are an issue.

It's easier if you just buy one that's already together. Put a couple of Geckos in the basket first then dig the parts out. Danged spiders.

When I was at Ft. Bragg, NC in 1968 and 69, one could travel to Greenville and purchase a brand new, still in the crate, Triumph Bonniville for $800.00.

Bring it back to Bragg, take it to the motor pool and the guys there would uncrate, assemble, oil and gas it up the first time for you.

There were a lot a Bonnevilles riding around Ft. Bragg.
