I used my Iphone for most of my pics for a long time, and for the most part it worked pretty good! even took a few that passed for 'really good'.
The pics I've posted to AAPK were my first attempt ever to upload pictures to my computer, so I tried a few different ways before I got the hang of it. Basiclly, I would either email myself the pic, and then copy and paste it to where I wanted to use it, or just sync my phone using the wall charger/usb cable. Once I plug my Iphone into the computer, the photo album opens up pretty much automaticlly. I then click and transfer the pics I want over to my computers photo album. Once there, they are available when you click on the 'Browse' button in the in the 'upload attachment' area under this text box. I'm not very good at explaining what I'm trying to say, but once I tried a few things It wasn't too hard to figure out. I had a harder time learning how to use a real camera!
Hope I helped a little ::shrug::
Good luck, and lets see some pics! ::tu::

Jody - Email the pictures to me. (I'm assuming you can do that from your iPhone) Tell me what thread you want them posted in and I'll 'Git 'er done'.

A guy I went through boot camp with said about his iPhone, "Great camera but it sucks as a phone."

I use an IPad most of the time. I have not been able to upload from it. Something about the iPhone / iPad software just doesn't g-haw with AAPK. ::td:: My Apple laptop works well with AAPK. ::tu::

I believe that the issue is that Apple doesn't let many things get close to the file system on their iDevices. That's why the attachment feature doesn't work when you come to this site using the iPhone's Safari browser.

If you're running an iPhone without synchronizing to a computer, you might think about killing 2 birds with one stone by setting up a free Dropbox account.

Dropbox lets you store files on their servers (aka cloud) which then allows you to access those files from any computer. Many file reading applications for the iPhone like GoodReader synchronize with Dropbox so it's very convenient? Secure? Meh! Don't store your family's recipe for hooch or your tax information there.

Dropbox has a built-in Public folder so you can use your iPhone to transfer photos from the Camera Roll to the Dropbox Public folder. In short, you're using your Dropbox Public folder like your own personal Flikr account, without all the messy Flikr overhead. Dropbox then gives you a public url for any file in the Public folder and you can use that with the "image" feature in the forum's standard BB code editor (which we all use for posting).

Flikr (and sites like it) are another option. On the iPhone, use the standalone (free) Flikr app to upload photos to Flikr. Then use Safari to access your Flikr account where they have a "share" feature that will give you BB code to show individual pictures. The share feature is not supported in the iPhone app so this is a bit clunky.

Hope this helps.

Connect the phone to a USB port.

Open My Computer.

Access the Removeable Device.

Copy and paste your pics to My Pictures.

OR

Connect the phone to a USB port.

Open Windows Explorer.

Access the phone in the menu on the left.

Open the pics.

Drag and Drop to My Pictures in Windows.

Works for me. At least it did with XP. I have Windows 7 now and haven't done anything like that with the new computer.
